    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    CAMP LIFE

What ages is Day Camp for?
Camp Lingua accepts campers from ages 5 to 14 in our Day Camps across all locations. We also offer our CIT (Counselor in Training) program specifically crafted for High School students seeking to fulfill community service hours. Interested students must have completed 9th grade by the time of enrollment in Camp.
What should I pack for Day Camp?

Although campers have everything they need to have fun while learning at camp, there are a few items that we recommend parents pack in case of emergencies.

    • Camp Lingua drawstring bag
    • Extra change of clothes: Camp shirt, bottoms, underwear, and socks.
    • Reusable water bottle
    • Sunblock and bug spray
    • Hat (recommended)

For water days (All Locations) or waterfront activities (West Palm Camp only):

    • Swimsuit
    • Towel
    • Water shoes
My camper is attending with a friend, will they be in the same tribe?

We love when campers attend with their friends, as it makes for an even BETTER camp experience!

We are more than happy to accommodate parent requests for friends staying in the same tribe. All you need to do is enter the other camper(s) name when prompted upon registration.

We should mention that since our campers get divided into colored tribes, ages, and programs (either by language or horseback riding) we can only fulfill friend requests when campers are signed up for the same program, and fit the same age groups. Additionally, these requests are also subject to how much room we have left in our tribes at the time of registration.

We highly recommend that friend groups sign up early on to ensure they end up together 🙌

P.S. If you didn’t know, we offer referral discounts for campers who bring their friends with them! 😎

    CAMP SAFETY

How do you handle camper allergies?

At Camp Lingua, we are aware that each camper might have unique allergies to watch out for.
As part of our registration process, you will be prompted to provide us with a list of your camper’s allergies and medications, as you fill out the Medical forms.
On the first day of camp, you will bring any medication necessary in the event that your camper has a reaction, such as an epi-pen. Please ensure that any medication is unexpired, and properly labeled with your camper’s full name.

In the unlikely event that your camper has an allergic reaction, camp staff will immediately communicate with the primary emergency contact listed in the registration form.

Additionally, we are a nut-free facility. Camp Lingua-provided meals do not contain nuts, and we advise parents to never pack any meals for their campers containing nuts.

If your camper has other medical conditions, or if you have any concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to us via phone, email, or by submitting a Message form at the bottom of this page.

My camper takes daily medicine, can he or she attend camp?

Of course! All we ask is that parents fill out our Medical forms promptly upon registration.

You will be prompted to enter all the information necessary (such as medication names, frequency, or any other relevant information) to ensure your camper stays on track with their medications without taking away from their camp experience.
Please remember that medications must be brought to camp labeled in their original packaging and checked in by the administrator on campus during the parent orientation.

If your camper has other medical conditions, and you have concerns regarding their camp experience, do not hesitate to reach out to us via phone, email, or by submitting a Message form at the bottom of this page.

What if my camper gets hurt at Camp?

Rest assured that Camp Lingua takes your campers’ safety seriously.
Minor incidents are taken care of by our experienced staff and are immediately reported via email.

In the rare occasion of a more serious injury, parents are immediately contacted via phone call. Depending on the severity, parents may be advised to pick up their camper. In the case that our staff is unable to communicate with the parent, medical experts will be called on-site. We will always put your camper’s safety first.

    PAYMENT POLICIES

    What is your refund policy?

We understand that plans change, and mishaps happen!

If your camper is unable to attend for any reason, you may have someone substitute for their participation in the program. Call our office at least 30 days prior to the event to transfer your enrollment. A $50 admin fee applies as we onboard a new camper.

If your camper is unable to attend and you don’t wish to transfer their spot, we will convert your enrollment to a non-refundable Camp Lingua Sleepaway voucher which must be used the following year at the latest.

All Camp deposits, registration fees, tuition, services, and merchandise are non-refundable, or exchangeable, for any reason whatsoever including, but not limited to, misbehavior, illness, accidents, emergencies, natural disasters, death, etc. The reason for this policy is that our team works very hard, many months before camp starts to plan and perfect your camper’s summer experience which requires a huge workforce and lots of planning to accomplish. Additionally, we staff our team based on enrollment as we approach the Summer season.

NOTE: In regards to situations beyond our control, such as but not limited to pandemics, and natural disasters, among others:

If Camp Lingua Summer 2023 cannot proceed due to a government mandate or our own decision, we reserve the right to maintain or modify our current cancellation policy accordingly with previous notification to our registered families.

Camp Lingua reserves the right to change the start and/or end dates of the summer 2023 sessions in accordance with the indications of the local authorities in regard to the development of any situation beyond our control.

    Do you offer sibling discount?

Absolutely! We offer a 5% discount on Tuition for each related camper.

Keep in mind that tuition does not include the registration fee, lunches, extended care, laundry services, out-of-camp medical care, prescriptions, field trips, or shipping.

Do you offer a payment plan for Summer Camp?

    We do!
