We’re not just teaching Spanish or running activities—we’re creating lifelong memories while fostering global citizens who are bilingual, confident, and compassionate.
Our Story
Camp Lingua was founded in 2000 by a the Pares Family, a group of passionate educators who saw a gap in South Florida’s educational landscape. Traditional language classes weren’t working—children sat in classrooms, memorized vocabulary, and quickly forgot everything. Meanwhile, summer camps were all fun and no learning.
We asked ourselves: What if we combined both?
What if children could learn Spanish (or English) while having the time of their lives? What if language acquisition happened naturally through play, adventure, and real-world experiences instead of textbook exercises? That question sparked a revolution in bilingual education.
The Foundation of trust:

Our founders developed the Enter-Training® methodology—a groundbreaking approach combining:
- Entertainment (the fun of camp)
- Training (the science of language acquisition)
- Neuro-linguistic programming (multi-sensory learning)
The results were immediate and dramatic. Children who “hated Spanish class” at school were speaking confidently within weeks. Parents couldn’t believe the transformation.
Camp Founders
With over 26 years of experience, the Pares family laid the foundation of Camp Lingua, creating one of Florida’s most unique and beloved camps. Their passion and vision earned the camp state recognition and their legacy has stayed strong through the decades.
They’ve remained committed to the original mission: crafting FUNtastic summers in a safe, language-rich environment. Today, they continue to provide daily guidance and leadership to the team each summer at our West Palm, Fort Myers and Broward locations.
